Hi Everyone:
I bought a '95 scoupe in February...it was pretty cheap but safety inspected until the end of May so I knew it was worth the $$. Sadly, a wheel bearing went 2 weeks before safety and there is so much body work needed underneath the mechanic told me it would be very expensive to fix..course with the age I knew other things could pop up...Anyways..I loved driving it...and almost might keep it as a project car.Someone told me that I can get new floor panels..is this true? Since I am in Nova Scotia the salt has done its number on practically everything underneath...I would love to have some *expert* opnions on what I should do..course this is down the road. I was so impressed with it tho I am now looking at a '98 Tiburon as a replacemtn..again..if anyone has some advice..I'd appreciate it...(apparently it needs an emergency brake cable..I havn't seen the car yet..but the owner says it doesn't work at all...does anyone know if it will be an expensive job?)

Hi!
From what you have said, the cost of replacing the bearing, together with the welding & fabrication required to combat corrosion + the other work needed to pass your inspection will far out-weigh the value of the car!.

Get the Tibby professionally inspected before you agree to buy it......they are good reliable cars, but you have already seen what road salt can do!.

Good luck,
Nick. :)
