Ok this issue could just be me not knowing Hyundais but bear with me. If the car has sat for a couple of hours and then I start it, often times it will rev up to about 2100 rpms for not even a second and then drop to normal idle speed? This just seems weird to me and that if it were 5 degrees outside it might throw a rod or something. Am I overly concerned? Thanks for dealing with my OCD!

P.S. I changed the air filter...no help

Mine revs up to 1800 rpm no matter what weather (when cold engine), and when eng is hot it revs to 1300-1500 rpm. I think u'r engine works ok.
