this came to me this morning when my wife had usual morning breakfast with her group of friends. they knew we bought i30 and asking about the features and price. after knowing the price, they asking why we dont consider civic? my wife was taken in and came back ask me the same question: why we choose korean made and not 'japanese' made (assembled in vietnam).

The exchange rate is about VND 16,100 to US$1. We bought i30 at US$36,500...

The answer i gave her is: Civic is too 'long' for you to 'manage' :grin:

Also, if your civic is anything like the UK civic, it's also 'too ugly' to look at

Have a look at these.. comparing a Korean Built Aussie i30 SLX Diesel with a middle of the Range Thailand Assembled Civic and an Korean Built Aussie i30 SR with a Top of the Range Thailand Assembled Civic Sport.

Hope it helps with the wife ... sometimes nothing helps (says Dazz on his third one) :P

my wife was saying with cheaper civic and more powerful engine (with better engine), why choose hyundai? i said u have to drive a car suitable for you. enough said ha... but the fact is i didnt find out what honda offers and in mind to look for compact car for my wife to drive her around.
