Does anyone have info on the re-designed 2006 XG350L?
I have heard rumors that it will be a greatly changed car, bigger with a more powerful engine and will be given a new name.
Anyone have any clues?

The 2006 XG will actually be called the TG, and will offer more horsepower, more interior features like front and rear seat heaters, a DVD navigation system with an 8-inch screen, as well as a more refined interior design. The exterior sports more luxurious refinements such as xenon projection headlights, L.E.D taillights, a sportier look with a higher rise beltline, and an Audi A6 like A,B,C, and D pillars. The new engine is rumored to range from 265 hp to 290 hp. All-wheel drive is a major possibility that is currently being rumored on the net, however, the overall look of this XG replacement indicates Hyundai's will to seriously compete in the entry-level luxury market. TG is Hyundai's internal name for the car, but it will have a different name when it hits the market. they have not yet announced it's north america name. it won't be Grandeur, SG or TG. i saw the car yesterday - it isn't as big as i thought it would be, but very nicely styled

Recently I have been able to see the design for the TG or 2006 XG350, pics have been posted from the Geneva car show.
I'm sad....I'm sad because the reason why I chose to buy a brand new 2003 XG350 was because of its unique place on the road....no one ever believed me when I told them it was a Hyundai, it looked like a child created from a Jaguar and Lincoln.
The new TG looks like any other car now. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazada...they all have a common theme. The XG was different by its more European appearance. The nose looks like a Honda Accord, the tail is now without its tradmark tall narrow tail lights and looks an Acura. The wood trim is gone. The only positive I see is the 50hp added to the already 180hp.
I have heard rumors that Hyundai may produce another model sedan even bigger with a possible V8 for the American market. I hope its true and will keep away from being average like all other sedans.
I intend to replace my XG350 one day, (when it is old and worn) with another XG350, but it will not be a 2006 model year.

Duke - you were right on. Saw the Azera unveil yesterday - it looks much better in person than in photos. Also saw the unveil of the next Accent. For it's segment, I like it. They also announced that XM radio will soon be standard in every model.
