I have a Trajet and having problems with my Air Con only going as low as 16 degrees C, I have changed the filter and been to Kwick Fit and tried to get the Air Con recharged but I was informed that the temp had only dropped 2 degrees to 16 degrees. the machine detected no leaks and topped up, but then asked the machanic to top up the rear air con and he did not have a clue what this was, is there another point which needs topped up also and will this have to be done at the dealers.
Lokk forward to any replies.

YOU CANT GET BETTER THAN A KWIK FIT FITTER- Like ****.

Why do people go to rip off Nationwide Service Centres. They are not that much cheaper than dealers and they know **** all.

Front and rear air con are intergrated with 850grams of gas in it. I take it he put about 650 grams in it. It should say on your print out.

The filter you changed was it the pollen filter or reciever drier?. If it was the reciever drier then I commend you as they have to be replaced every three years maximum as they have silicon gel balls inside them in a little bag which soak up moisture and go bang when they get to full -thus wrecking the air con compressor and causing a £500 plus bill. I bet they never told you that at Kwik S***?.

I wonder if Kwik Fit would take responsibility if anything went bang after a regas?.

As for 16c - not bad in this weather. Have you got it on recycle and full fan coming through the centre fascia vents only-this is how it should be used.

Have you a print out of the working pressures too as that would be interesting to see?. How long did it take?.

The reason why I sound arsey is because I actually have C&G in Air Conditioning aswell as refridgerent handling training and it boils my p*** when I hear these no necks(with a days training) on a machine which does not detect 95% of air conditioning faults ripping the public off every day.

No-I have not had a bad day
