Hello Experts,
I have a 2002 hyundai sonata driven 85K miles. I have never changed transmission fluid on the car. I had gone for oil change and the mechanic showed that the transmission fluid was black and needed to be changed.

I would really appreciate it if experts can let me know what are the parts that need to be replaced as part of transmission fluid change and what is the average cost. Thanks for your help.

Interesting, I have had people tell me it's fine for 100k miles even if it's black and I think that is hard to believe. Apparently your mechanic agrees with me.
