Hi there
I was getting around 10 litres per 100 Km fuel consumption in my 6,000 km (8 month old Getz 1400). That translates to around 29-30 MPG. That is pretty bad, considering about 60% is open freeway driving.
I had the car checked out for gas emission (to correct what is obviously an incorrect factory setting. They did some minor adjustments, and that did the trick. I'm now getting 6.9 litres per 100 Km (about 41 MPG)
What do you folk think about me chllenging the almost R400 charge they levied me? True, the warranty does not cover tune-ups, but this was rectifying an obvious factory fault. Am I justified in locking horns? I'd welcome & respect your opinions.
