Putting after market cd player in excel's is abit of an effort but do-able. first you'll need to take the plastic cover off from under your steering wheel and under the dash on the left you'll see the air con unit. you'll need to remove the 2 metal cables connected to this unit just by pullin them off the plastic tabs they are hooked onto. then remove the rubber stoppers that hold the glove box in so that the hole glove box flips down. behind it there will be another metal cable which you'll hav2 remove as well. once those 3 cables are un-hooked remove the ash-tray from the center surround and there will be 2 screws behind it. remove them and then the hole plastic surround will un clip. be sure to hang on the the metal clips that hold the surround on(they tend to drop down the center console sometimes) otherwise when you go to put it bak on it will be loose and prob vibrate! then remove the instrument plugs at the top of the surround so you give urself abit more room to move. then there will be a couple screws holding the original deck in place, un screw them and slide the deck out, but hang on to the mounting brackets cause you will prob need to use to mount the after market deck. to wire up the deck you can either buy some ISO adaptors (to save chopping wires) or cut of the original plug and solder the new wires in!

Hope that makes sense! Good luck!
