It takes a deaf person to not know that the stock speakers in a 97 accent are cheap.I learned how to reach the door speakers but i have no idea of how to reach the ones beneath the back panel...How do I get to them?

If it is like my 99 hatchback, the easiest way is to take the bolts off the plastic cover over the speakers........then you can accesss the screws better that should be on the magnet side of the speaker.

I have a 97 accent and from what I understand, you have to completely remove the back seat by loosening 2 metric bolts under the cushions, then the rear tray upholstery as well as the plastic speaker covers will lift up. A real pain.
