I've come to the conclusion that most Oz i30's are auto's so the results are skewed as cars are governed as to speed in each gear.

Whereas with manuals which are the majority in UK you can push to higher revs in each gear.

Is that correct?

Hello Dazz,
Love your I30 with its blinking headlights. I have'nt the time to work out how to add that detail yet. Is it hard?
Have checked out this sight a few times and thought it time to join the club.
I do enjoy stirring up all those Toyota geeks anhd holden nuts at caradvice.com but its nice to come here and find people who really appreciate the Hyundai product insteadof mindless brand blinded half wits who judge a car by its badge.

Hi Again Eyma,

To do an avatar you just click on "my controls" at the top of the page and go to edit avatar settings in the left menu.

You then upload a picture no bigger that what it says in the instructions on that page. Think from memory can't be more than 100x100 pixels and about 50Kbs (so pretty small) Can be a Jpeg, Gif etc..

Used to have the flashing i30 on the other site as well but for some reason avatar size on that site was reduced to 80x80 and I haven't got around to modifying my flasher pix. So I just searched around on google for a small animated gif that fitted the specs.

Hope that helps

Know what you mean about Ford and Toyota freaks - don't miss them used to annoy me a bit with their anti Hyundai bias.

Cheers,

Dazz

Bob's Experiement Complete
Reached 1230km before adding fuel
Average fuel consumption 4.6l/100k for the tank

Possibly had another 50km to Empty

See the orginal post above for full details, including the final graph.

Also, I found it interesting that when I filled up some 200km later, the Distance to Empty registered 905km. The highest previous maximum was 870km at the beginning of the above experiement.

Bob

Hey Eyma,

Just seen your Avatar - you don't look like a teapot (excuse my ignorance but whats the significance of the picture?)

Cheers,
