Hi all, I have a 2005 manual crdi and i was descending a very steep slope in 1st gear low range yesterday, not touching any pedals (as you do!) and it felt to me that the ABS was kicking in occasionally(!). I have read on an australian forum that the auto might have some system of hill descent control on it, but they say nowt about the manual. Has anyone out there experienced this in 1st low?, or am i going mad in my old age? needless to say the terra got me down beautifully as always!

Hi There Newbie,
I have a 2.9cdri auto and it definitely has hill descent - I tried it out recently and it certainly works well. However, it was a nightmare working out how to get the thing back into high ration drive - I have a Chinese one with Chinese manual and flipping the switch from low to high did not do anything. I wended up switching the whole thing off and putting my foot on the brake in park before it would change!
