Drives: Nautical Blue 2006 Tucson 2.7L V6



The 2008 Elantra uses the 2.0L Beta engine which has a belt. It's the 2.4L Theta engine in the Sonata that uses a chain.

guess it would have to be replaced at 60k. Any idea what dealer charges for replacement, ballpark number.

Well, the belt replacement is part of the 60K mile service which is about $700-800. To just replace the belt is probably about half that.
