yeah, the "chip" is a funny one.
there is no dedicated "Chip" for hyundai at the moment in australia.
nor is there a hyundai compatable piggyback.

people have used the apexi SAFC/ SAFC II or NEO and haltech interceptors well before, but occasionally and depending on set-up some sensors were needed to be changed.

if you are after full horsepower or big power set-ups, turbo etc and want to do it right you are to look into a standalone ECU which replaces the exisiting hyundai one. this is expensive.

However, SAS Silverwater Automotive services in NSW can remap the hyundai ECU to make the best of your mods and set-up. they can allow for ignition timing, fuels, etc. there is some guiys who have done this before with good results.

just google silverwater automotive services and you should be laughing.
I'm looking at this for my partners 2007 Getz.

oh, BTW since your australian you may want to check out the Hyper Auto Fourms, tis' an Aussie Hyundai Club. www.hyperaustralia.com/forums
