Hi. I just bought an 08 Accent for my girlfriends first car and my spare car.

Its a dark blue GS with the power package. I got it at invoice and the buy was a painless process. I already debaged, and depinstriped and gave it a nice wash and wax for my girlfriend. I plan on a few mods.

-i'd like to remove some interior trim and paint it. the door handle surrounds, radio surround and center console area.
-gonna buy accent door sills and rubber floor mats
-i WISH i could change the green leds to another color.
-change the ashtray to the ipod holder
-window tint
-change intake and remove resonator
-paint engine cover

any suggestions about the car or my mod ideas? thanks!


p.s. I drive an 07 Stage 1 GTI and post on capitaldubs.com daily.

check out some "back issues" of our mods... alot of the fellas on here have changed the dash lights.. from what they say, these are surface mount LEDs.. not that tough to do, just getting to 'em is a pain..

the mods you have listed sound pretty good, if you go with the AEM intake system, you will love the sound and the extra pep!

thanks for the welcome.

ive read the posts about changing the green leds to other colors but i never did that before. ive added in leds, wired gauges, and all kinds of other stuff, ive just never messed with the gauge cluster before.

and i forgot a question i had. I know that I can buy fog lights from hyundaiaccessorystore.com but can they be retrofitted? I dont have factory fogs but want to add them.

jmtc: i dont really know if painting the interior is a good idea.. but maybe that stems from all of those crappy red painted dashboards and vents etc..

nah, i paint interiors good. my GTI will be featured under a tent at this years ocean city VW show. nothing ricer about it. it will look oem and just make the plain black look like it came two tone from the factory. you know, maybe a silver or darker black. ill let my girlfriend decide.
