I bought my VC about 4 weeks ago and I love it. I got the 07 SE with pretty much everything. I purchased a Parrot Bluetooth adapater and had it installed by CarToys, connecting to the center speaker just above the center dash. I have since woken up and and found my VC with a dead battery twice. I went directly to the dealer and they took it for the afternoon for testing. They said everything was fine but replaced the battery anyway, battery and everything tested ok. They said they saw the Parrot BT and also noticed that when the car turned on with the stereo tuned to CD Player or XM Radio the stereo system would make a loud pop or noise. Since then I went back to Cartoys and they disconnected the Parrot BT device and told me to drive for a few days and see if it is resolved. CarToys told me to come back after a week or so and they would determine what to do at that point. Well, 3 days later the battery was dead again. I went back to Hyundai and they tested everything again and said it was fine but to go back to CT and make sure all is back to factory.

I have a digital multi-meter and I have checked the battery every evening when I get home and it is at 12.85v. In the morning before I leave for the day I test again and it shows 10.5v.

Is there away to remove the connectors from the battery and test for drain? I would think by removing the connectors to the battery and testing with a multi-meter I could find out if and how much of a drain something is pulling from the battery.

Thanks
Robert

The only thing that comes to mind is pull the fuses from the fuse block except for the electronic you wish to test. It's time consuming, but that is the only thing I can think of.

I found the amp fuse and unplugged it. I noticed there was a little spark when I removed it and placed it back in the slot, did this several times to verify. I put it back and removed the 2 cable connectors on the amp and then tested the fuse situation again and no spark. Put all back together and got spark. So the amp seems to be bad or malfunctioning in some way. I will take the VC back to Hyundai this week and get it resolved.

Thanks
Robert
