Got a call from my dealer last weekend:

"Hyundai have seriously underestimated how many black i10s they are going to need. Your car won't be available until August."

WTF?

Waiting to find out now if they will still honour the finance deal, as the website says it only applies to cars ordered and registered by the end of May. Apparently, the top brass are discussing it this week or next.

Anyone else got the same problem?

Hi tj63

When did you order your i10? I noticed you posted on the 13 April so was it about then?

We were told we should be ok for a delivery towards the end of June for our comfort in red.

I might give our dealer a call this week and see if they can give me any update. Fingers crossed red isn't affected!

I had an oyster grey model on order. Told to day I would have to wait till august to get one. They hinted I would not get my trade in price they have offered me. Decided to go for the silver, still have to wait 3 to 4 weeks.

It all seems a bit of a **** up to me.

Thanks. I did email my dealer today to ask for an update (it has been nearly a month since we placed an order) but I'm still waiting a reply.

I wonder where they are getting your silver i10 from so quickly - but then if you have been messed around I expect they can get it quicker.

That is the trouble with trade-ins. We had the same issue when we bought our current main car-if delivery went into the next month we would be a couple of hundred down on the deal.

Apart from the dealer cars I have yet to see a single i10 on the road but I notice there are a few for sale on auto trader already.

Fingers crossed it comes out ok for you!

I can only hope they can get a silver one.

They said that a boat load is due in soon.

Buy an i30 if you can't wait. You won't be disappointed.

I've had mine since last Sept and it brill to drive.

1.6crdi averaging 48 -54 mpg around town.

Afraid we wanted a small car, but the i30 gets a good review. I wonder if we will see an i40/i50 - might be interested when we replace our main car!

Looks like we have the same problem now - initially told we could expect deliver in June but today I've been told to expect August and more than likely it will end up being a 1st September 58 plate. Oh well - 4/5 month delivery.

Just rung the dealer about my car. He said that they should have it in next week.

The dealer said that the i10 is fastest selling car world wide that they have ever made.

Got my fingers crossed.

I read on another forum that the order books have been closed for the i10, such is the high demand!

Sorry for not replying sooner - not been on here for a bit. I ordered mine on 12th April and was orginally told that delivery would be in June.

Seems that black isn't the only colour they've not built enough of. Looking on the bright side, at least I'll know that it's not been sat in a car pound somewhere for months on end before I get it!
