G'day all!

Im new to the site. hoping some one can help!
Im wanting tighten up the hand brake on my 1999 Twin Cam Hyundai Excel.
Is the adjuster on the hand brake its self or somewhere else? I've heard some people say just to adjust some nuts on the hand brake lever its self and other refered to a technique where the hand brake is applied and the car is reversed which tightens the cable.

Any idea's?

Thanks for the Help!! :)

First, make sure the rear shoes are not worn. If the parking brake is not holding then the shoes are probably worn. If the shoes are new (or are least newer) adjust them with the adjuster screw at the bottom, not at the handle itself. Drum brakes are self adjusting. To do this, drive the car in reverse while applying and releasing the brake a few times.
