I need to tow my Dodge Dakota pick-up truck on a car trailer from Los Angeles to Houston. The Dakota has a curb weight of 3733 lbs.

No way...maximum towing capacity for the SF is 3,000 pounds for a front-wheel drive 3.5 liter. The Dakota plus trailer would probably exceed that by half a ton!!! Don't do it.
