We noticed a few days after Leap Year Day that our Hyundai Santa Fe was still in February! When we think about it, we take a photo. This one was taken on April 7, but according to the Santa Fe, it was Feb. 68th. We're coming up on Feb. 99th within the next week or so. Not sure what will happen then. Frankly, we have found the calendar feature to be USELESS, but this has made it a bit more fun. Wendee

Thanks!
I know we CAN re-set it, but why would we want to? :) We made the conscious decision to just let it go.
I can't wait till it gets to Feb99, because there isn't room for another numeral, so what will it do? We eagerly anticipate that day! (Yeah, we don't get much excitement here apparently.)
"Here" is East Berlin, just north of Hanover, west of York, and a bit south of Harrisburg. South Central PA. However, I'm not a native, just a transplant.
We've had our Hyundai since 2006 and LOVE it. It is turning out to be almost as reliable as my 1993 Honda Civic Si. (Which I bought new.)

Okay....it took me awhile to remember to post an update! We missed Feb. 99, so didn't get a pic. And then forgot about it for a day or so & when we looked at it, it was Feb. 02, but the "0" was half-size or "superior". Like it was trying to do 102 & just barfed! (Because there is no way to fit a "1" or anything else in there.) We let it go & it started to just repeat the "01" etc. (with the weird half-size zero), so now we've re-set it and all is fine.
Who knew that February during a leap year in our Hyundai would last THREE MONTHS! :)
It's interesting that no one else posted about having this weirdness.

Oh yeah, I know there's another thread about gas mileage, but ours has been getting around 20, altho' that was with major highway driving.
Thankfully both my husband & I work from home, mostly, so we're not driving much anyway.

QUOTE(HyundaiLvr87 @ Jun 15 2008, 06:50 AM) It would have been cool to see a picture of that! Hopefully it works well now. I had an 05 Santa Fe 4wd that averaged 14 and I just traded an 06 FWD that averaged 19.8. My 08 is getting better mileage. The 2.7 engine was never know for gas mileage. My mom has an 03 Sonata with just under 36,000 miles and she is lucky if she gets 15. Wow, man. My Santy is an '04 2.7 4WD and I get around 19.5 in the city and about 25 on the highway, both figures two better than the window sticker. :w00t: :trophy: I recently went on a road trip and got 25.7 mpg going through Utah. This post has been edited by lovemysantafe: Jun 18 2008, 04:40 PM
