Hi Han,

Haven't seen any reference to that feature in the Australian Model of i30 (I stand to be corrected) Hopefully someone from UK or another country may be able to help...I use GPS with Bluetooth for my hands free car calls..

Cheers,

Dazz

Hi CHB,

Han imported his car direct from Korea (with Korean handbook) He lives in North Vietnam.

Shambles managed to track him down an owners manual in english (PDF) but I've had a fairly good look and don't think it covers handfree mobile phone function (not in our models?) Only talks about possible interference in Radio if using a mobile inside car.

Han,

I think your best bet is to send an email to the Hyundai Head Office in Korea (surely they can understand english) and ask for their help...

Regards,

Dazz

Hi All,

Had the Hyundai integrated bluetooth "hands free" kit fitted to my i30 SR and it works a treat. They fit a small microphone and control block in the top right hand corner of the windscreen (controls microphone volume) and works through the car's audio system. Incoming or outgoing calls automatically interrupt the radio/music when operated and clarity seems pretty good.

The only annoying problem is when you first start the car up, there is a small time delay and a sudden load 'click' from the audio speakers (as if a relay switches on and causes the sound).

Anyway, not as good as other manufacturer integrated bluetooth "hands free" phone kits I've had, but better than fumbling for the phone while driving.

Hi Russ,

I negotiated it as a "freebie" at the time of purchase, but from memory the list price was something like $545 (fitted by the dealership).

Regards

Dazza

Hi Dazza,

Good one to negotiate into deal as $545 or thereabouts would have been way too much to pay. Can get a good GPS now with bluetooth built in for around $350.

Cheers,

Dazz

(Assume with a a moniker like that you're another Darryl? although you could be a Darrell or a Daryl I suppose!)
