My '99 Santro (Atos for international market) has been giving me excellent service and has till date not required any visit to the Hyundai workshop. But I would like to share my feeling of apperently a very otherwise minor shortcoming in my car. Every time the Radiator Cooling Fan comes on it creates quite a vibration in the car - I have checked the fan motor bearings and the blades and there is no free play anywhere. This I feel might be caused by the fact that Hyundai has done away with the separate Airconditioner Condensor Radiator Fan and has placed the AC Radiator in front of the Engine Radiator and the Radiator Fan acts as a common blower for both the Radiators and I feel this fact causes a lot more air turbulence when the fan operates. There is also a blinking of the Headlights (when they are on) everytime the fan comes on. This is totally undesirable since the fan has its own relay which takes the load of the motor and should not have interfered with the other electrical accessories of the car! I wonder if Hyndai have thought of this problem for their future cars!
