The Image displayed of the plaque is ProjectTibs but the Photographers will be doing similiar plaques for all Hyundai Cars Entered in this show. The plaques will be available to purchase after the car show. These are professionals that will be taking care of us so get excited!

For information about room accomadations at hotels in downtown, feel free to send me a private message and I will give you the names of some cheaper ones located downtown.

I will be speaking with Charleston tour groups to come to the show and sell Ghost Tour tickets and to have some information on things to do in Charleston so that anyone staying the night will have plenty to do.

Those of you wanting you go out clubing and drinking ill let you in on a secret. In Downtown is College of Charleston and the Ratio of Women to Men is like 75% so dont miss out .

I made flyers for everyone here in Charleston to hand out and I would like it if you would all participate by handing them out as well. Just send me a message with your e-mail and I will be sure to send you the flyer to print out.

The dealership is real excited about this event and plans on doing all they need to make sure this show is well advertised. They will be placing in our local paper and they have given me permission to purchase larger signs to post along key intersections in the area.

This car show will be completely paid for by the dealership so there are no entrance fee's to any of us attending.

Judging will begin around 4pm and trophies will be awarded near 5-5:30. Which should allow anyone driving from out of state to make it with plenty of time.

ShanksRacing will be coming to video tape this whole event for us and record the aftermath of the car show. He did this on a previous show I attended and does a excellent job. He will be editing and making a video for us after the show.

As stated before, me and my girlfiend where looking at getting one of the most popular Radio stations for this show....WELL..
95sx which is a huge Charleston Radio Station will sponsor this event. Now its going to cost the dealership for them to come so we need to push as hard as possible to get more and more people to attend this. There commitment to include the radio station will be determind by the amount of Hyundai's we have coming
NOW this is what the radio station is going to do
They are advertising 1 week before the show (everyday) morning and night.
They will be broadcasting the show live 4 times in 2 hours.
They will be bringing in one of there DJ's well known to Charleston
They will be providing food and drinks for the car show
****!!!**** They will bring in there Wheel of prizes which anyone can play.. which includes
1.) Concert Tickets
2.) River dog ticket (baseball tickets)
3.) Other prizes
4.) Free t-shirts.
This will all be held under a huge tent area they set up
They will also have there 95sx big system/radio van.

I want everyone to understand how big this event can be for all of us hyundai enthusiasts. I need the help of all of you, from bringing in new people.. advertising in other areas.. and handing out the fliers I have made for us.
Lets let this show start a new chapter for us Hyundai owners.

I will be sending out e-mails to all Hyundai owners on, Multiple forum (hyundai) sites and Car domain that live in South Carolina and drives a Hyundai. Which can be done by searching member locations and ive already located about 70 in SC alone. I will take it as far as checking the surrounding states but feel free to take this upon yourselfs as well.

This will be one to remember!

^^lol absolutely. Im updating this thread with new information that should get everyone a lot more exited about this event. Im getting feed back from a lot of out of state people that will be attending/maybe attending so if we all make the effort we can have a huge show. The new info should pull a lot more in :).

Yup that is the location. There are a lot of hotels in the area it all depends on where you want to stay. If you take River's Avenue (same street as car show) about 15 minutes east it will take you right in to downtown Charleston. I can get you the name of some hotels in downtown just let me know what kind of price range your looking for.
I really hope you make it man it will be awesome to have a Hyundai there that we dont get in the US. Expecially yours.

I'm looking for 3-5 star hotel. 4 would be best. $100 a night? I donno what kind of prices they have there. I was looking at intown suites 2 minutes away. Are they any good? I'm quite picky...

Let me do some research for you but yes they do have great rooms downtown and im guessing we could get you a good price giving the date. Ill let you know soon.

msvq im in the process of checking a group rate option at a hotel near downtown and the carshow because im getting a lot of feedback from people wanting to stay the night in Charleston so hold off on booking a room. I might have a good deal for all of us. Ill let you know soon.

I need a show of hands on who will be wanted to stay Sat. Night in Charleston so I can fiquere out these hotel accomidations. Just let me know if you plan on getting one so I can have a rough count.

Spoke with Brian at the Hyundai Dealership yesterday and got some great news. Hyundai Corp. is actually getting involved a little. They are helping the dealership pay for everything which means 95sx coming there is going to be hopefully confirmed on Thursday. Brian also informed me that they will have 2 Genesis Sedans at the lot for the show! I actually called the head of car shows for Hyundai USA and spoke with him about getting the Genesis Coupe out there for display. He informed me that the only 3 in the USA are all in california at the moment so im not sure if they will be able to do that. But im trying to get it out there. He told me to speak with the Regional East coast Rep about getting it there. So who knows. Like I said before ill get the Hotel situations fiqured out by wensday.

Ok so the Hotel Accomadations for all of us have been arranged and im very happy with the outcome for us. The hotel is Ramada. Its located right beside the mall and the Interstate. Its only 2-5 minutes from the car show and 10 minutes from downtown. I took a tour of the hotel today and saw the rooms and they are very clean and nice. Mini fridges and microwaves in the rooms. They have a full bar and restuarant downstairs and a Indoor pool and Outdoor pool which has a nice outdoor deck area. Free full breakfast in the morning at the restaurant. Parking is safe for all of us as well. I got us a group rate and it doesnt matter how many actually come we will recieve this rate regardless. You can choose between a 2 double bed or 1 queen bed room. The rate is only $89. The group block to reserve rooms is under "Hyundai Car Show" so just let them know that and you will get the 89. I have some great news. ARK/arkspeedracing.com has decided to become a part of this car show. During the show everyone entering will be handed a raffle ticket. Near the end of the show 4 numbers will be called. The numbers called represent people who just won a Free ARK Front Strut Bar. They do require a shipping charge of 18 dollars but you will get the strut bar for free! Also there will be a banner representing ARK at the show. Another reason why ARK kicks arse!
Anyone coming please be aware of the hotel that will have group rates for us if you would like to stay the night.
