That thing, with it's roofrack, makes a Volvo look appealing. Never thought I'd say that about a car.

Hi Guys,

Think it's just the angle. Have some other pix of the i30 wagon that look better (my mate wants one - loves the i30 but needs more room) Not just for US but UK as well. Wagons aren't selling as well in Aus as they used to so not sure if it will come here?

Just my opinion :P

The CRDi are hard to get, the SR looks great mate and lot of features. all i wanted was the CRDi motor after i drove a few and air cond would also like the trip computer , if the SLX had cruise control as well with the CRDi i would have got one but the other features the SLX gets i did not think i could use so just took the SX and the dealer latter told us he could get cruise control, so i'm happy. at least i hope i will be, if i don't like it after a few months i'll just sell it. but i think i'll enjoy it.

Hi John,

I went for the CRDi because I've always had a "thing" about fuel economy and like the torque but I'm sure the SR is no slouch and I think they look better with the body kit and yummy wheels (So I'm sure you'll be happy).

The CRDi isn't perfect had a couple of very still days lately and smell of diesel fumes is not that pleasant. Under some circumstances can feel some vibration of the engine through the steering wheel (not used to that with previous super smooth Nissan motors)

Turbo,

I agree I reckon the wagon looks more balanced design than the hatch and extra boot space would not go astray but wasn't prepared to wait at least another 12 months like my mate is.

Rgds,

Dazz

I like our i30 hatch. I will not be happy if they import the wagon version into Australia. My wife will want one I am sure. And then when we go shopping I shall have more of a problem convincing her not to buy extra this and that.

Please My Hyundai, don't send your next creation of the i30 down under. I am sure we can do without it.

Hi Bob,

It took a while for the look of our shape I30 to grow on me but I'm getting a bit of positive comment (especially from the ladies :) ) so that helps.

My gut feeling is that the Wagon probably wont come her but who knows it looks a lot like a modernised version of the old Lantra Sportswagon and they were pretty popular (still plenty around)

Rgds,

Dazz

P.S. Interesting how a lot of overseas pix of i30 Hatch and Wagon have glass sunroofs yet not even an option here.

By the way Dazz, I was only joking about my wife, she loves the i30. Like tomorrow, I am off to golf in the morning and she and the 2 teenage girls are going shopping in Adelaide. They want the i30. I'm leaving earlier and I get to pick my vehicle, but I won't be popular.

I've had a vehicle (RAV4 with a sunroof once, but I never used it (the sunroof). It is too hot where we live and we use the aircon 80% of the year. A sunroof is not something we would use.

Hi Bob,

Many years ago (around 1989 I think) I had a glass sunroof installed in a Lancer Sedan and it worked well and suited that vehicle but now I have less hair I find sunroofs less appealing (got to watch the sunburn and top of head feels the heat)

Just thought it was strange how most of the TV adds and pix from car shows picture them with a sunroof.

I am lucky (sort of) as I quite like driving the wife's Tiida (for a change) but my problem is the wife's driving setup is so different to mine that she doesn't like me borrowing her car as she says I change too many things.

Cheers,

Dazz

Hey Dazz, i'm not getting an SR m8. i could not live with a motor that needs 4,500 to get some Torque, i'm getting the CRDi SX m8. i'm used to a super smooth V8. but also drive diesel Trucks sometimes so am used to them too they don't bother me and they have heaps of Torque so like them. i've never noticed diesel smell with the trucks but when you fill them up the pumps can be dirty. plus only one pump at most servo's but will see how we go.
