Hi, im new to the forums.

My problem is with my Accent 99 LS (4 gears automatic),
Every now and then it simply stalls while standing still in traffic. (Drive position)
The engine shuts down, but electricity remains on.
When i try to restart the starter turns but the engine wont start, after something like 2-4 min it will successfuly restart.
The mechanics at the workshop (a hyundai service center) had no idea what's wrong with it....

I guess this problem does not generate any fault codes in the car's computer or something....

hi there i had a probltm simaler we found it to be an earthing problem

Could you explain what is "earthing" exactly?
Do you mean to say grounding? like electricity grounding?

yes mate grounding as you say in the states we call it earthing in the uk....we found we had some over spray on some earth/ground points so we cleaned them up and it seems to have done the trick.....all so you may want to get the immoilizer system cheacked out as we think we may have a problem with that but not sure.....................

It seems they found the problem.
It was the crankshaft sensor.
