A dealer has offered to show me a car, does anyone know where the build plate is located?

I cant tell if its an 07 or 08, couldnt find it in the engine bay, on the door jamb or in the glove box.

Even the owners manual doesnt state where its located.

Does anyone know?

the dealer showed me that plate i think it was on the left hand side, you open the passenger front door and it was there somewhere, was not hard to find and info was easy to read.

John is correct. Open passeger front and there it is. Also VIN plate is rivetted nearby.

See attached picture. Black sticker is the Build Plate. Aluminium plate is the VIN Plate.

Cheers Bob, its was late in the evening and I couldnt find it, was a bit worried thinking oh oh whats wrong with this car.

Its an 08 build Im pleased to say.

In addition to the VIN being displayed on the plate added in Australia and on the sticker with the build date (illustrated in an earlier post), a close look at the bottom of the windscreen on the left side down near the LHS wiper, reveals a clear section through which the VIN can be easily seen.

This feature would be part of the vehicle security precautions as it can not easily be altered if the car is stolen.
