I have black interior and I noticed when I was cleaning the car this past weekend the back of the armrest is starting to peel. It appears that there is a coating of some sort which seems to peel away. Under the coating it appears quite shiny.

I have to admit that the kids kick at this area with their feet, and the salt off the boots this winter probably didn’t help.

I would expect the no matter what the elements, the interior should not deface like this.

I will try to post a picture.

Has anyone else experienced this ?

I am going to show it to my dealer to see what they say.

I haven't had anything like that. I don't have kids, but I do have dogs that tend to drool on the centre console when I'm having a snack.

Is this what you are describing? It might be covered under warranty.

Yes that is exactly it.

The dealer repaired the problem. I home this does not happen every year, espically when it is out of warranty.
