Hi All
Trying to become a FX owner have been looking at a Ex Japan 2002 FX Coupe. Apart from the radio not working here is there anything I should be aware of in the way of possible problems owning this car in New Zealand?

Thanks

Hi!.........I`m amazed the Coupe is available in Japan, this must be a first for a Korean sports car!.

As the car is an auto you will escape the clutch problems discussed elsewhere on here.
The downside is, this transmission will often drag the fuel economy below 20 miles per (Imperial) gallon .

If this is not a problem, go ahead.........enjoy!.

Nick. :)

Thanks for all the replies, I have decided to get it and Friday is the day!!!!!!!!!

Just to clear up a couple of points:
It is a 2.7 and an automatic, it is a FX Coupe, it is not a Tiburon so no horrible plastic shield on the front and rear.

I was supprised that it had come from Japan as I would have thought it would be a limited market there.

I have had it checked over by the AA and the report says quote " Sound vehicle in above average condition, nice car drives well" So I am very pleased.

Yes, it's a TIBURON, Hyundai production code GK.

The `99 2.0 manual FX Coupe (Tiburon) is an excellent used purchase (given the usual used car checks are O.K.) & is to be preferred to the auto version for reasons of economy & reliability.

Cheers,
Nick. :)
