Hi everyone,

I'm sure some of you use the Bumper Badger or similar to keep your car's rear end scuff-free.

Since it is made of rather hard rubber, repeated use on a dirty bumper will, over time, create scratches. I got tired of buffing those scratches out.

I bought a bunch of 3M felt pads - the ones you stick on furniture feet to protect hardwood flooring - and stuck about 20 onto the back side of the Bumper Badger, evenly spaced of course. Now, rather than rubber sitting flush against the paint, the softer felt pads are the only ones to make contact with it and are much gentler on the surface too.

I picked up the pads from Target at around $3.00 for each pack of 10 I think. They are black, 2-inch diameter discs - not the smaller tan ones but those should work fine too.

Hope this helps y'all!

-N-

if you left that hanging from your car in NYC, it'd be gone before you get 10 feet from the car. :crying:

Really? I work in the city and parked my car a few times with it hanging out back. No one ever took it.

Unless they cut NJ cars some slack.

You could probably make a bumper badger for less then $40. In nYC it woudl be a definite asset ! :whistling:
