Yes, there is legislation out there to do with false/misleading advertising, but in order for it to be proven either of those things you must prove that there was an INTENT to mislead. If it is simple human error (which I strongly suspect it is) then they have NOT broken the law. Like I said before, as long as the error is pointed out to the consumer before they purchase the product (so they are well aware that an error has been made), that is fine. Without getting into where I work, just believe that I am talking from a legislative point of view and not solely my own opinion...
The bigger department stores etc do (usually) print apologies to rectify errors in their catalog's, but I have seen many examples of the wrong pic being used and no apology given. It just happens sometimes. Humans are humans afterall and we all know they are not perfect!! :beer:
