I have a 2008 Veracruz Limited that I want to upgrade the headlight bulbs on to possibly the Sylvania SilverStar or Ultra Stars.

On the internet I find that the high beams are supposed to be H7 bulbs while the low beams are H11Bs.
There is no information for the fog lights.
I also found a posting that somene stated the Osram H11s would replace the H11Bs.

My questions are:
What replacement bulbs are required for the high, low and fog lights?
Will the H11 replace the H11B and if so, what modifications are required.
My dealer gave me the following Hyundai part numbers.
Left 92101-3J050 Right 92102-3J050
I suspect that should be high and low beam not left and right.
Fog 18649-55009

Can anyone give me a cross reference to the Hyundai part numbers?

Thanks

I am the guy that has been posting about the Osram H11's.
I replaced the stock low beam H11's in my 2007 with the Osram H11 Night Breaker bulbs from the UK. No modifications required. I have to believe that the 2008 and 2007 headlamps are the same!

I believe you are correct about the high beam being an H7 bulb.
I have the GLS model that has no fog lamps, so I cannot help you there.

I love my Osrams. In fact I have them in all 3 of my vehicles.

Where did you buy the Osrams? Anywhere in the US?

Anyone else know anything about replacements for the fog lights?

Thanks Enrico for the info. I will get the H11's and H7's.

I would also like to get the Osram H11 Nightbreakers. Where do you get them in the US? I can only find them on eBay and/or European websites.

Question on these light bulbs...
I have a shop here in Dallas that has Pro-1 H11's. Doing a google search i find this is a Xenon HID. From my understanding we have Halogen headlamps which are not compatible with Xenon bulbs. Is this correct?

Hi.

I purchased the Night Breaker H11 low beams from England. Can you tell me how you get to the bulb to replace it. There is room to get to the drivewr's side, but not on the passenger side. On another site they said to remove the entire headlight assembly. I've removed the 3 bolts on the assembly, but still can't get the assembly out and I don't want to force it and crack it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gil

The reason you can't get at the right hand side to replace the bulb is that Hyundai placed the ABS electronic control module right behind the headlamp assembly unit. There are only three bolts that hold the ABS mounting plate to the car body - remove those three bolts, and you can lift out the entire ABS control unit. Don't remove the ABS module from the plastic mounting plate - just remove the mounting plate, together with the ABS unit. You will need a ratchet wrench with an extension shaft to reach the three bolts.

If you need to, you can also unplug the cable connectors to the ABS unit. Reconnect them after you re-install the ABS unit. If you do this, then disconnect the battery and reconnect it when you are done, or else your engine trouble light will come on.

You will also have to remove the upper portion of the windshield washer resevoir filling neck - this is accomplished by removing a single bolt and then pulling the neck assembly away from the body of the windshield washer resevoir.

With the ABS module and windshield washer resevoir neck removed, you can access the rear of the right headlight assembly.

Has anyone replaced a 55W high beam lamp with a 100W one?

I would like to try this, but want to know if it will fry anything.

I don't know where you are from, but in most areas, 100W bulbs for driving on the roads is illegal. Not to mention way too bright for oncoming traffic.

I still have not found a replacement for the 08 Veracruz low beams or fog lights.
I know the low beams are H11B's that no one has a replacement for. I can't even find the designation for the fog lights.
