I have recently bought a 1999 Galloper LWB with a 2.5 litre turbo diesel engine.

In terms of engine service parts like oil filter etc, what is this engine? Is it a Hyundai type or Mitsubishi, and if the former, what other UK Hyundai vehicles was it used in? So I can save the mechanic some time in terms of knowing what bits to order.

it's based on a mitsubishi. you will find that most mechanical parts are the same as the early shogun/pajero

I just found out from Hyundai UK that my vehicle was originally made for sale in Holland, and was then imported to the UK in 1999 by its original owner.

I was kind of surprised by this, I thought it had maybe been imported from the Gulf region, since many others seem to have done so....

i live in latin america and they brought the galloper model down here. it definitley uses mitsubishi parts im sure, take care
