hi there i just had an idea. just wondering would it be possible to devote a section of the forum for members to organise cruises,social events etc.thanks for hearing me out

Actually I really don't think too many people even check those sections. I think an Event forum also sound good. Just make it a rule that your Country or Town is in the beginning of the Title when posting such an event.
