QUOTE(hoosieraccent @ Apr 6 2008, 09:23 PM)
In Ireland, they sell an "Accent commercial van."  I don't see any good pics of what the car is like, looks like they just blacked out one of the side windows in Photoshop. Wish they had pics of the cargo area on this Accent!  My guess is they probably just took the regular version, whacked the rear seat and viola...  (something like Chevy did with the panel van version of the HHR.)

Some of the other Hyundai models have "commercial" version too.

they should black out the other side too because it looks weird :P

In a 2006 4 door: 3 surfboards (longest 6'10'') and lots of luggage for a 3 hour drive to the airport for 10 days in costa rica. I couldnt see my wifes head the whole drive because of the surfboards extending from the back of the trunk up through the two front seats.

My wife worked 5 months for a month long May art gallery show of her fantasy & real animal paintings. Thought it would take 2 trips in her Accent & my Dodge Caliber hatchbacks. We started loading, then rearranged. The paintings & paddings seemed custom tailored to the 2 hatchbacks & we found extra nooks for her prints, cards & copies of her art book. Loaded all her art in both cars & saved (& will save) 160 miles of travel in transporting to & from the gallery!

Please add good thoughts that a lot of her art sells! Thank you.

i drove ~200kms + a ferry trip each way to pick up a 19" 2006 gary fisher cobia 29er w/ rock shox tora mountain bike yesterday. all i had to do was lay one side of the back seat down & move the passenger seat forward and take the front wheel off the bike and i was able to stuff it in w/ the handlebars resting on the drivers seat arm rest & the fork, covered by a fleece jacket to prevent scratching as much as possible, on the passenger door arm rest. i know it's just a bicycle, but with 29" wheels and tires vs. standard 26's, it's a bigger beast to stuff in a 3 door accent w/o disassembling it. now maybe soon my 240lb arse will lighten up a bit in time for kiteboarding season... stay tuned for how many surf kites and boards get stuffed in my car this summer! :D

i've always gotten more sporting goods in and utility out of all my hatchback cars than almost anyone ever does out of a so called "sport utility vehicle" - and i get 32+mpg! 8)

To those interested in Janie's paintings that we totally loaded in her Accent & my Caliber, the websites I mentioned above are still good. She's working on a new website that will contain a wide spectrum of her art. I'll post it on this thread when she does accomplish it.

So far, she's sold 4 paintings, a dozen plus of prints, a dozen plus of her books, & scores of cards. The gallery display is spectacular.

I have to smile with this one. Bear in mind I have a 3dr hatch. On a recent trip to Disney World we packed for two adults and three kids. So the car had in it: Two adults in the front, three kids in the back each with their on carry on full of games and toys. In the hatch was 2 large suitcases, 3 medium suitcases, a camera bag, and 3 backpacks. It took about 30 minutes to 'place' it all in there and needless to say the rear deck piece was taken out and you couldn't see out the back window. But with all this it still drove good. I wouldn't recommend jumping anything tho.
