Now do i have your attention?

Don't know if you've seen this before, found it on another forum.. it's a little bit of a read, but if you're down for it, check it out..

"Being a cheap'n'cheery mode of transport few enthusiasts ever modify a Hyundai beyond simple bolt-ons; it doesn't usually make much financial sense. This example, however, is a purpose built drag car that's built to upset, running a Mitsi VR4/GSR/Evo driveline and pumping out over 450hp at the wheels; it's the product of a truly demented mind!"

Haha, that's what I keep telling my friend's. I am going to either do a Turbo Kit on the 1.6L, or dump in a 2.0 Turbo. Haven't decided yet, Kinda leaning towards keeping the stock motor just to freak people out when I tell them it has 260WHP. Haha...

Mitsubishi and Hyundai had a license-built engine agreement in early to mid 90s. That's a licensed copy of a DSM 2.0 DOHC engine found in Eclipse Gen 1 and 2.
Cool, but something very few people will do considering it doubles the price of your original Accent after the engine swap and mods.

Elantra or Sonata if my memory serves me well. Either way I have seen quite a few DMS 2.0 engines with Hyundai brand on them.

Also, if you remember the original Excell? - That was an identical copy of a Mitsubishi sub compact.
