Hey, thanks for taking the time to read this frist of all...well the frist thing is when i start my my 2000 accent 1.5 stick...when its cold it has a hard time starting just keeps stalling ..i can hold down the thottle all the way down and it idles really low then a 20 sec it kicks my the rpm's up so i let go then it tries to die out again..so i do it all over until it idles ...and when it warms up alittle bit it runs fine ....plus i'm having a problem right after refueling it's a pain to start again...when i go to take off it dies so i got to wait a few mins with the acc turn on for it run ok agian ...other problem i'm having is when driving stright it runs rough and when i turn to the left ...sounds kinda like something is rubbing noise but when its turning right it sounds fine and its quite...but i don't think something rubbing but i'll look really close tomorrow and see if i see anything rubbing ...but the question was if it could be the cv joint or something like that or some kinda arm under there...i just bought the car off a friend i knew it need alittle work (oo and plus they just replace the clucth that when the noise started so they had the eng. out..just thinking they might have messed something up in the cv joint or something like that , thats why i asked) ..so any help would be great ..again thanks for reading

Hi, Im new to this forum but Ive had this kind of problem with my 1999 1.5 Accent GLS. As your first problem.
The engine stops at IDLE, as RPMs goes down, but I could turn it on inmediately without problem. Ive changed sparks, cables, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel , IAC valve, cleaned fuel tank, but nothing solved it.
2 years after this problem it got worse, then the engine stopped, I couldn't turn it on, I had to wait about 20 mins to do it, and 10 minutes after engine stopped again.
This problem was solved by changing the Crankshaft Position Sensor, now it starts inmediately after it goes off, but it continuos with the first problem, every day the engine goes off at idle, mainly when its cold.

Ive taken the car to many service departments, computers, and nothing has been able to fix it. The last one told me it must be the car computer which is bat...

I guess I had to learn to live with this problem...
