the other day after i the battery from my hyundai getz, ever since when i try turning on the stock cdplayer it comes up with a code and wont let me listen to cd's or the radio, i read the booklet and it said that it is a "anti-theft" error that i need to reenter the security code that is on a plastic card that came with my new hyundai, im annoyed as i bought this car second hand and it comes wth all the manuals, service booklet ect EXCEPT the plastic card.
Is there anyway of bypassing this code? :S

you will need to go to your dealer with some proof of ownership and they should be able to give you the code (they will charge you for it)

Many times the code is located on the side of the glove box. Or you could try calling Hyundai Consumer Affairs to obtain the code.

Thats what I did, and I knew I would have to get that security code everytime I disconnected the battery, which I had to to mod the car. In a short period of 2 months, if I had stayed with stock, i'll be paying the dealership a handsome amount of ransom

First mod immediately after I got the car, took out the centre console panel, put a 2 din dvd / sdcard headunit.

There is a gizmo on the market which you plug into the cigarette lighter socket before disconnecting the battery & that will save your radio code etc-not a king's ransom.Try a motor factor or maybe even Halfords.
