BAAAHHAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!. so yesterday at work right i looked at this junker civic we had and it had a sri on it. i was like "cool" then i started thinking, wouldnt it be awsome to put that on my car??? well folks, i did it. and its the shottiest, most ugliest, bestest thing i ever did done!

i removed the battery and oem intake and junk and fit the civic sri in there, well... it was about a foot too long, so i decided, one bend using the vaccum line nipple and cut it. ok done works fits... now... to mount the ecu... well im kinda at home and i cant fab anything up so, work with what ya got. i took the lower part of the stock intake, mounted it in the original places, put the ecu on and fought with it for a bit to get it all in place. now hood clearance i thought would be an issue but it fits perfect.

it looks terrible and very impractical but it does the job. i took it out for a test drive and wow does it make some noise now. the exhaust sounds alot better.

buuuuut... i have to take the car in to the stealer for my free oil change monday so i took it off. plus the inside of the pipe is dirty and the stupid ractive filter has dust on the inside and thats just no good. so i gotta get a new filter and repolish the pipe but once i do man that will be sweet!!!

ps can any one post a pic of what the weapon r intake and aem intake ecu mounting bracket looks like so i can make my own...

ps tooslo if you read this i still want pictures of your custom intake so that i can humm and haaa about whether to buy it or not... thanks for readin

Sounds interesting...I want a nice intake for my car soooo bad but i noticed that theres a tube leading to the air box from the front left light area wouldn't that mean it would be better to just replace the oem filter with one from k&n or does the air box/tube restrict alot of air flow?

For your ecu just make or get an "L" bracket.

mmm no. there is also cold air intake from the fender too but that means nothing. if you have ever looked close at the intake set up, its better than most but junk as far as im concerned(sp?) and many more will agree.

by the time all the outside colder air gets to the intake its temp has risen quite a bit. i dont know how much but it does. you would be better off rerouting it so its ram air before a k&n filter would help. at the bottom of the air box there is a peice of the intake that i took off just cuse no matter what, the air that got to my engine would be hot any ways so i might as well save some gas and have a warm air intake.

and saph, what intake is that and where can i buy the bracket

i have a custom sri and it is well worth it to do this mod either by custom or buying one...the "CAI" tube is not a true CAI tube....if my poor memory serves me correct its more of a resonance box than anything....
