Hey to all,

Was wondering if I could get some assistance with a few things. Thanks in advance for the help.

I live in the carribbean (dominican republic) and just recently bought a 2005 2.9 diesel. Love it by the way.

I had done a lot of reading here on the forum before the purchase and your info helped a lot.

Anyway, I am looking to replace the shocks and it is almost impossible to get them here so I will have to order them from the US and send them down.

My question is, does anyone one know the model numbers for Koni, Rancho, or Bilstien. Those are pretty much available in the states but they have no idea as to what the specs would be. Actually if you know of any other that might be purchased in the US let me know. I tried emailing some shops in australia with no luck.

The second thing is, we have a limited selection of oil filters where I live, (mostly chinese) however, the FRAM brand filter is available. Does anyone happen to know if they make a filter for the diesel. The problem being here is that you have to take the old one to do a comparison when purchasing a new filter to make sure they get it right. Unfortunately I don't live terribly close to the dealer.

Thanks for the help.

Have a good day.

Hubert
