Martin Swanty Hyundai of Kingman

They had Hyundai 2006 Sonata Bottled Water, Hyundai Mugs,

Hyundai Frisbees, Hyundai 0% APR Stickers, & Thrify rent a Car Pens :w00t: ,

along with Soft Drinks, and an empty Doughnut box. I stopped in and said hello,

to the Sales Manager. We have talked before at the Store. I mentioned in the 15

Months I have been a Customer , I have never received any correspondence.

No thank you's, no Coupons, no returned Service requests, nothing from Sales.

I went a step further and told him I would be more likely to purchase the new

2009 Sonata (which they don't carry) elsewhere. As it is they

have a new 2008 Sonata Ltd. for $29,999. :trophy:

One doesn't have to be smart to be a car dealer.

$29,999.... I'm not totally surprised, saw some really fantastic prices a while ago, somewhere on line....

...Maybe they're not as stupid.

One doesn't have to be smart to be a car buyer. I bet they'll find the idiot who'll like that Sonata and pay the full $29,999, no questions asked. After all, when you go to the Gap store, you don't ask for a discount.

.....And if he's offered rust protection and fabric protection, and upgraded electronic-power steering and ultra long-life battery, and Halogen-filled tires --- for an extra $2,999.95 --- HE'LL BE A HAPPY FOR EVER CAMPER.

I didn't yell at him though. He's a Kid, the Dealership is the size

of a 7- Eleven. He had to step away as another Customer was looking

for him. I just went Food shopping at Kroger, then Safeway. I was going

to return, as I only got 2 Mugs and one Frisbee. Sad news though...One of the

Bottles of 06 Sonata Water leaked out. Just as well!. :P

That where the Goods were  . The Sales Mgr. had a little 'Office'

in the Hyundai RV. Did I mention the RV?. Some old RV with the Dealer

Hyundai Banner on it. Usually Parking Lot events don't interest me,

but when I saw the Sign I had to follow. I also neglected to mention I

helped myself to a DR. Pepper, which I brought into Smiths (Kroger)

and spilled, and I also have a "Ask me About 0%" Button, which I can

now add to my "Take the Hyundai Challenge" Button, if I can find it!

Considering his RENT, I'd say if he sells that LTD for $29,999 plus the $2,999.95 for the must-have necessary add-ons, I'd say he's not that stupid.

Maybe I can start something similar in the back of my garage?

I hear you mama. And I was wrong. It is a GLS for $28K & an SE for a few

Bucks less. I like the Service guys though, even if they don't return Calls & Emails.

Why the largest seller of Hyundais in the Area, the Sales guy told me today!.

Of course they are the only seller of Hyundai in a 120 Mile radius!.

Look at this Giant Superstore. Size of a Wendy's!

Crazy!

People buy anything though. A few folks at work have bought Smart Cars (you know, the 8' long car by Mercedes.

The the couple retails for $14k but folks are dropping an extra $5-10k so they dont have to wait in line for 3 months. Amazing.

No, but I wish my Mopar looked like this.

Perhaps I'll just get a new Challenger $30K

over sticker if you can find a new one!.

Too bad the new one won't look like that one. You can find that one at Jackson Barrett. $280,000 Loonies or so over sticker. :blownose:
