Hey everyone,

Anyone out there install an intake on their Accent? i recently installed one but am now concern with some drag when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Has anyone experienced this? Not sure if I need to recheck if I have a leak, but was pretty sure everything was tight and snug. Any advise would be much appreciated!!! Take care.

Juan

my accent does that before the sra and after the sra. with the sra tho if u rev it higher for my car it shifts easier. if u press hard and get it up to a 5k shift it should be smoother after the sra.

What does your short ram air intake look like? I'm thinking about doing my
own project for a SRA.

same thing on my car, it'll be fine. might wanna look at getting an exhuast for it too. mine was weird when i would turn off the car, it would click real loud, got headers and whole exhuast system and it stopped. works great now.

When you did this did you disconnect your battery for 10-15 mins and reconnect it, You should to help reprogram your ECU for the increase air flow.

Thanks everyone for the replies, sorry for this one being late. Things are working well now, car sounds better, although I haven't bought a new muffler yet. My problem the whole time was the MAF Sensor, so lesson learned for me. Any recommendations on mufflers? I am looking for a nice low tone, not the overbearing annoying lawnmower type, since it is the wifey's car. I don't want to embarrass her! Take care guys.
