Hi mate,

I'm not a car expert so not sure if you can tighten them, so thats probably why you can't!? haha.. but it just felt like i had to press the pedal all the way down before the brakes really kicked in and i wanted it to start gripping more without pushing the brakes all the way down.

First service is free and i think that's for all cars :) How come you don't want to change oil?

In the service report though it states after the first 1,000 KM hyundai will not be responsible for rattles, vibrations in the car

You might have air in the lines, if thats the case, the brake fluid needs to be bled.

Your pads may also be glazed so they are not biting as they should, to fix this, the pads are filed to remove any rough surfacing and/or edges, the brake disc may also require machining.

Mine bite as soon as you touch them, but I was careful to bed the pads in when the car was delivered.

I changed the oil myself to mineral m8, i'm like turbo1600 i would not use synthetic oil till 15,000k, but don't worry about it as i know plenty who have run diesels from new with synthetic. just from what i have personally seen they do not wear in useing synthetic, or really hi quality fully synthetic that is. i was not always a be leaver of Synthetic oil but have seen the benifits of good fully synthetic oil, but the good stuff does not come cheap.
i'm not worried about mr hyundai's rattles as i'm deaf, rattle away little car :)

Hey turbo1600 has a good point, go back and ask them to check your brake pads and bleed your brake system, mine work quite well, but i've only done 1,000k and am used to Ford brakes :)

Hrmm.....

Will i get charged for asking them to check the brakes??

Also, i really have a problem with the horn... it has happened twice now since the service. It goes off for no reason and i have to press the horn for it to stop :(

Anyone else have that problem? I haven't seen anyone mention it before.....hope i'm not an isolated case!

Well chb, I sort of hope you are an isolated case. That would be very annoying indeed. You had better take that in and get it looked at. Must be something wrong, maybe even loose.
