Hey guys.. Looking at picking up a new Tucson for the wife to go along with my Sonata..

We live in Canada, and I was wondering if you guys would mind giving some details as to what you all paid for your vehicles..

The more info the better!

Thanks in advance!
Matt

lucky you guys, especially those who live in the US. Here in Brazil this car costs 80.000 reais(local currency) or U$ 40.000
50% are taxes, so we have to work hard to buy imported cars, but TUC rocks big time, dont ya think so?

Hi, Hubby just bought me a 2008 Tucson SE V6 4WD in May. We got it for $20,200. I did all the negotiating.....and how much fun that was! NOT! I really tried hard to get it down to $19,995 but no deal! I guess the price we bought it for was OK.

I got my 07 GLS 4WD 2.0 Manual Trans, we agreed to 16500.

By the time I got out of the financing office, I was looking at 21389.58. after tax and fees.

On top of the taxes and fees, he charged me an extra 2000 for the 10year warranty. He told me that the 2000 is a "credit" and I can use that for repairs and after 10 years, I will get what I don't use of that 2000 back. Anybody else have this similar experience? I bought the car in 06 and am wondering if I got ripped off for 2000 or not. I have a feeling that I'll never see that 2000 again.

PS. I just noticed they don't sell my model anymore, I guess it was that its a little underpowered with the AWD manual 2.0.

You bought the best that there is pal- Hyundai are actually going to stop making the 2.7 model sometime soon and they are going to sell just the 4cyl models in the UK and Canada. The 4cyl is actually better IMHO than the 6cyl and does less damage to the world. I have the 2.0 Diesel version in the UK and that too is going to be offered in the US and Canada and my tuc does around 40mpg on a run at a nice steady pace. (UK gallon 20% bigger than US gallon)
You say its underpowered but against what? a 2.7 6cyl gas guzzler or another 2.0 built like a brick 4x4.

I absolutely love my Tucson and this is my 2nd one too the first was a 113 BHp Model whereas my current one is a 138 Bhp model. TheyreeeeeeGreattttttttttt.

Cheers and keep smiling

wow, im surprised at that price and that they rooked you for an extra $2k for what I can only assume is adding another 5 years onto the 5 yr/60k mile bumper to bumper? (if bought new, it comes with a 10 yr / 100k powertrain warranty).. i got my 2.7 SE (2WD) for that same out the door price...

we paid, in mid 2008, just under $20k AUD for our 2005 V6 Elite S with about 27k on the clock. a bit of a late response I know but i though the forum needed some more weight from down under (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) )
