I'd love to have a built in GPS, but Hyundai apparently doesn't agree. Is there a unit/brand that fits nicely somewhere on the 2008 Elantra SE dashboard? Thanks,

The nice thing about aftermarket GPS is your choices. Sometimes, people with factory nav complain about the controls or settings. Of course, you can mount the device anywhere you want. I think it would be trick to modify that little pop-up storage door on the center dash to accommodate one.

the aftermarket devices are the way to go. For $1-200 you can have a far superior device than most built in devices. As far as one that fits, you will have many options for mounting, particularly in the top storage compartment, though we sucker ours to the windshield.

Just bought a Garmin 760 for my son's Elantra. Beautiful unit and mounted with the Garmin hardware on the windshield just to the left of the dashboard top storage compartment. Power cord runs down the right side of the center part of the dash to the right power outlet. Look and works great!
