my 2007 santa fe fwd ltd has suspension noise on the pass side dealer says its normal anyone else experiencing this. thanks rjt

Nothing here. If you really listen with the windows down you might hear some squishy air sounds coming from the struts, but this is normal. What kind of noise are you getting?

thanks for the reply the noise is a clunking sound when going over small bumps or holes pass side onlythe drivers side is quiet doing the same bumps. thanks rjt

I once had a new Chevy and the dealer could never hear/fix it. I brought it to my BMW friend/mechanic and he tighten the front struts and the noise went away. ? just a thought.

On my limited at low speeds/ like parking in the garage, I can hear the gas sloshing about, it almost sounds like suspension but if you listen carefully you can hear the gas splashing one side then the other.

my brother owns a 07 limited and he complains about the front end being a bit noisey on bumpy surfaces. i own a sonata and he the same noises. we had problems with the rear for the sonata and enough people complained they did something about it as well as the azera but they deny noise for the front of sonata and sante fe call hyundai usa and complain is all i can say

Here's a long shot, but does your Santa Fe's parking brake hold the vehicle on a hill? Mine does, but my previous Nissan did not and the problem was traced to a loose parking brake that was also exhibiting the same noise you describe. In that case the noise was clearly coming from the back end.

I noticed clunking noise today on my wife's SF, the clunking seems more pronounced over very small bumps.

I know I will bring it to the dealer and they'll either say it's normal or they can't hear it... :whistling:

Front Suspension Noise

I had the same noise in front of mine and the dealer replace the two links of the stabilizing bar ant it solved the problem. These are the two small rods with bushing end that link the stabilizing bar to the Macpherson. It seem that the bushing get loose or worn so that's why you hear a clunking noise when you get over small bumps on the road.

rear or front? I live in Canada, I have a GL 3.3 AWD and I hear nothing but I do know a '07 Elantra owner who has the same problem as yours with its pass. side rear suspension.
