Is it my impression that Hyundai cars aren't comfortable to tall+big drivers? I test drove the sonata, the santa fe and the entourage today. While I think they are all great cars I came out with the impression that comfort for 6'+ tall drivers in all three cars isn't the best. I couldn't find the right seat adjustment (all three cars had power driver seat) to feel comfortable. It felt as if, hyundai designers omitted testing the comfort to the big+tall population of the US, which is growing btw.
I am 6'2" (& bigger than should be with 230ish lbs) The main issue was getting enough thigh support. All three seats (the base) seemed to be a bit short, or maybe not enough plush to fully support the thighs. The tilt adjustment was a tad limited, which added to the lack of thigh support.
In comparison, I test drove a CAMRY (vs the sonata) but the seat adjustment had that extra tad of range that made it comfortable. The seat wasn't bigger or plushier on the camry, but it seemed the tilt went a little extra for taller drivers. The same held true for a Chrysler minivan when compared to the entourage.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Too bad, given the great prices, incentives, and warranties on those cars.
