my drivers side door lock wont lock or unlock with the key?
any one help me please

i hav a 1999 hyundai accent coupe

you will have to remove the door trim to find out whats going on, there is no definate answer, either the lock itself has broken or the metal lincage as come apart

I had this problem. I had to go in the passenger side and unlock the driver side and open it from the inside. Once I did this, i could use the key. Have you already tried this?

I had the same problem as you - the lock would only go about halfway up. However, I couldn't unlock it from the inside either. If it unlocks from the inside, and both handles work,, then it's probably the lock cylinder itself that's screwed. It costs 33$ at the dealership, here at least. See this post for full explanation:
