Hello,

As of a few days ago my speedometer on my '97 Tiburon FX hasn't been working. With that, my mileage and trip mileage readings haven't been working either. The tachometer and fuel/engine heat gauges work fine. Just in case I checked fuses but as I guessed that wasn't the problem, since that fuse has other things on it that were working fine. From this I am assuming the problem has to be with the wiring or the speedometer sensor (which is located on the tranny?)

I'm going to get together with a friend to replace this part, but am just looking for some insight into replacing it. What does this part look like, and what am I going to have to pull apart to get to it? Replacing it shouldn't be an issue, but I just haven't pulled this part of my car apart yet so I'd like some background before I do it.

Any help is appreciated...
