Drives: Modified (180 b.h.p.) `95 Hyundai S-Coupe Turbo SE ....Sadly now sold & replaced with an `04 Alfa Romeo 156 2-litre Veloce! :-http://aol.photobox.co.uk/album/thumbnails.html?c_album=7089276&page=all

The Beta will bolt-up to a Mk.II Hyundai-powered Scoupe, but I believe some fabrication/welding to one engine mount is required.

You will also need to fit the ECU from the donor car & the connectors will most likely be incompatible / wrongly-positioned in the wiring harness.......so access to a good auto-electrician is probably going to be needed!.

Good luck!
Nick. :)

It not that people don;t have the balls too do it is every one guess at the info ,nobody will nail down what actually needs to be done.not everyone takes the lazy way out and sticks with the turbo. So if any one has done this swap step-up and share your knowage

The Beta has been swapped for the Alpha motor in countless Accents & quite a few Scoupes.......mostly in the U.S.A..

There are 50+ pages of posts on the subject of Hyundai engine-swaps here :-

Cheers,
Nick. :)

I don't think anyone on here personally knows someone who has done it. I had tried contacting several people when I was wanting to swap mine and only one ever returned any emails. I do, however, have most of the ECU pinouts for you to wire up the beta motor. :)

Email me at: s-coupe@hotmail.com
If you need any swap help, I have a lot of information on it, although I haven't done it myself.

-Nick
