I average about 32 to 35 MPG. I would say at least a third of my driving is in stop and go traffic. You must be driving an automatic. They say the gas mileage should be about the same in an automatic as compared to a manual, but to me it seems automatic transmissions shift in to a higher gear to soon when accelerating unless you just put it to the floor and hold it. When it shifts to soon it doesn't initially give you enough torque because the RPM's are to low and thus people have a tendancy to push the gas pedal down farther which wastes more gas then it helps in accelerating faster. It seems to me that the only way an automatic transmission will give you the same gas mileage as a manual is if you drive it like a sterotypical old person, or the person driving the stick doesn't know how to get the most out of it. This is just my opinion having driven both types of cars. I don't have much money so I pay close attention to stupid things like that while I'm driving. It could just be wishful thinking too.

I think I get about 450 - 500 km for a tank of 45 L, making a good 10km per litre.

I said "I think" because my fuel gauge is actually broken, and i always refuel about every 450 - 500 km just to make sure i don't suddenly run out.

35 MPG all day every day :)
Not spectacular for its size but considering its age it tells me everything is still fine.

Wow, thats rubbish mpg

Last week I got 52mpg out of my 1.3 si Coupe (190miles on 16.7 litres, £20)

I'm running fully synthetic oils, new air filter last week and was doing 20% around town, 80% cruising at 60-80mph to work and back.

Still, missus still complains *Rolls eyes*

I get about 35 to 45 MPG or between 8L/100km to 6L/100km depending on what type of driving I've been doing. I drive mostly city driving and have been recently getting about 8L per 100km of driving. But it's been going closer to 7.5L/100km recently. I have gotten 6L/100km in the past when I've driven more highway.

From the calculations I've made a few times during the year I'd average round about 35mpg on mine. I've gotten close to 40 if I don't drive aggressively... but I usually do.

Umm...

16.7 liters x 0.264172052 = ~4.4 Gallons
190 miles / 4.4 Gals = ~43 MPG

...Am I missing something?

Edit: Incidentally, I have a 1998 Accent with 154K miles and my record is 43.5 MPG (highway)

95 accent: always around 35mpg, but my O2 went bad and it went down to about 22mpb at 122K miles. Replaced with a salvaged one and back at 35!
