Hi I am looking for an extra key fob for my XG30 it has three buttons one to lock and set the alarm one to unlock and deactivate the alarm and one to open the trunk.

My Dealer want's £150.00 to get a replacement but will code one for me if I can get one from a brakers yard or ebay.
I just thought I would try this forum.

Norman

alot of members have been after thease from time to time, the only thing l can suggest is to keep an eye out on e-bay (l think it's unlikely you would find an XG in a breakers yard as they are so rare)

I got one.. any thoughts on how to reprogram it? I brought it to the dealer and they could not do anything with it. You press the buttons and it lights up and everything.. could it be dead? I hope not.. I lost mine yesturday.. it fell out of my pocket at work along with the keys. Thankfully I got a replacement key on hand, but the control.. is it irreplaceable?

your key fob needs to be programmed into your car, your dealer can do this with thier 'H scanner'. it is possible to do it yourself but if your not technical minded its best left to them. why did your dealer say they can't do anything with it?

they did not say. seriously.. they just said they can not do it. weird right? I am going down there later today and see whats really up my cousin works today.

Is there a switch as in some of the other models? I checked around the fuse boxes and could not find anything.. I turned myself into a pretzel getting under the dash with a flash light but could not find anything.
